About The Position

Our Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, and in alignment with customer demand and inventory goals. This role serves as a key link between production, procurement, inventory management, and customer service teams. The Production Planner Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and smooth production flow. This role works closely with Production, Customer Service, Shipping, and Plant Leadership to manage schedules, monitor order status, balance capacity, and proactively address operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, operations coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ERP, scheduling, and manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • 3-5 years of related job experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Amtech, KIWI, or similar systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, capacity planning, and inventory management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
  • Track work orders, production progress, and inventory levels to minimize shortages and excess stock.
  • Communicate production plans, schedule changes, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with qualify, safety, and operational standards.
  • Create and maintain production schedules and delivery commitments in KIWI and related systems.
  • Coordinate daily with production teams to align staffing, machine capacity, and workload requirements.
  • Balance work across machines, production lines, and facilities to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage order flow by reviewing priority orders, monitoring holds, and ensuring timely completion of customer commitments.
  • Monitor production performance, inventory, and late orders to identify and resolve potential delivery risks.
  • Maintain accurate data within scheduling and manufacturing systems, correcting scheduling errors and routing issues.
  • Coordinate tooling and resource availability to prevent disruptions to production schedules.
  • Communicate schedule changes, production issues, and delivery risks with internal stakeholders and customer service teams.
