The Production Planner/Scheduler role focuses on scheduling production, processing, assembly, and packaging activities. This includes scheduling human resources, tools, and equipment necessary for the production process. The role involves selecting and sequencing available resources and required processing for individual work centers or lines, and implementing scheduling changes in response to backlogs, design changes, machine downtime, or material/labor shortages.

Requirements

  • High School Education + 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess excellent customer-service skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be capable of creating and working within spreadsheets.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to positively influence people.

Nice To Haves

  • Training on shop floor reporting systems preferred.
  • Scheduling training in planning preferred.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling production, processing, assembly, and packaging activities.
  • Scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process.
  • Selecting and sequencing available resources and required processing to individual work centers or lines.
  • Implementing scheduling changes due to backlogs, design changes, machine downtime or material/labor shortages.
  • Following all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Reporting to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participating in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Following all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Reporting any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
