The Production Planner schedules, and coordinates the flow of work and materials to drive supply chain sources within or between departments according to the production schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or above
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Must be a highly analytical thinker and problem solver

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an planner in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment in planning, scheduling, and reporting
• experience with ERP systems with an MRP focus (CostPoint a plus)
• Working knowledge of CostPoint
• Detail oriented and organized person

Responsibilities

• Resolve the day-to-day issues within Production Control and with other departments
• Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
• Provide updates on all programs to Management and report any issues that may impact production schedule
• Continuous improvement of processes and procedures
• Place purchase requests for non-inventory materials
• Create Manufacturing Orders and monitor shortages
• Provide buy item focus list for daily standup meetings
• Working with the Purchasing department to make sure that parts are ordered and arrive on time
• Perform other duties as directed
