This position performs tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including producing schedules, materials lists, and production plans. The role involves analyzing production specifications to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and personnel requirements, ensuring material flow and production activity are aligned, and preparing work orders. The Production Planner I will recommend schedule changes resulting from material or labor shortages, design changes, or backlogs, and utilize software generated reports to update the capacity cutoff calendar. This role works closely with Sales, Material, Customer Service, Programming/Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to generate accurate demand forecasts, align production with order intake, plan jobs across various machines, and optimize production efficiency by assessing manpower, machine, and material availability. The planner will also reassign or reschedule workloads as needed due to maintenance or breakdowns, manage material pick orders, maintain visibility of order flow, proactively flag potential delays, maintain the daily Delivery Schedule report, and respond to expedite requests by reprioritizing and rescheduling tasks. This position works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery and meets TKMNA Employee Attributes and Competencies. This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” under applicable laws, requiring successful completion of pre-employment drug testing.
