This role plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. It involves expediting operations that delay schedules and altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, including estimating. The role also analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources, and prepares production reports. The General Profile for this role requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline, performing routine assignments using existing procedures, and receiving instruction, guidance, and direction from more senior level roles. It is considered an entry-level position for professional career progression, involving consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; includes estimating
  • Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reports
  • Performs tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including producing schedules, materials lists, and production plans.
  • Helps to analyze production specifications to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and personnel requirements.
  • Ensures material flow and production activity are aligned.
  • Prepares work orders.
  • Recommends schedule changes resulting from material or labor shortages, design changes, or backlogs when necessary.
