About The Position

Responsible for supporting Defense Production Planning. This role involves collaborating with other engineering functions to aid in project/product transitions, ensuring production schedules are met, and maintaining accurate records. The planner will work closely with the Materials department to ensure timely arrival of parts and oversee the closing of final lots and accuracy of shipping reports. Additionally, the position supports program management from conception to completion, ensuring all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Fully fluent in the English language in both oral and written form.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • High energy and self-driven individual.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Compliance with all personnel policies.
  • This position requires use of and access to information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Accordingly, all Program Specialists must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Temporary Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Regularly required to stand and move about the facility.
  • Regularly required to perform physical work with hands during entire shift.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Capability to generate, read and understand complex reports required.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish language preferable.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment that is certified to ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineering functions within TPG to aid and assist in project/product transitions.
  • Ensure production schedule is met.
  • Ensure final products for each lot are accurate and required records are complete.
  • Maintain final serial number lists as required.
  • Work with Materials department to ensure arrival of correct parts.
  • Close final lots.
  • Ensure Final Packing is done correctly and ensure accuracy of Final Shipping Reports.
  • Support the management of Programs from conception through completion while meeting all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
