About The Position

Pilatus is seeking a Production Pilot to join their growing Flights Operations Team in Broomfield, Colorado. The Production Pilot will be responsible for conducting PC-12 and PC-24 production check flights and other assigned flights safely and in accordance with Pilatus standards, company policies, and applicable aviation regulations. This role requires the pilot to be a subject matter expert on the PC-12 and PC-24, supporting production, engineering, customer support, sales, and other operational requirements through flight and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single and Multi-Engine Land ratings.
  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) and FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certification, no centerline thrust restriction preferred.
  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 2,500 hours PIC (or equivalent military flight experience).
  • Minimum 2,000 hours combined turbine/jet flight time.
  • Minimum 1,000 hours jet PIC (or equivalent military flight experience).
  • Jet type rating or military equivalent.
  • FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Current and valid passport.
  • Ability to travel internationally without restrictions on short notice.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office.
  • Domiciled within 1 hour of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC).

Nice To Haves

  • Military or airline flight experience preferred.
  • Experience in international flight operations preferred.
  • Experience in formation flying preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Serve as single-pilot Pilot in Command (PIC) for PC-12 and PC-24 production check flights.
  • Perform government and special mission experimental flight tests and demonstrations.
  • Conduct domestic and international production, demonstration, marketing, ferry, customer support, AOG response, and transportation flights.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft, including capabilities, systems, and operations.
  • Coordinate with Pilatus engineering on flight test plans, technical issues, and product improvement.
  • Conduct pre-flight planning, including route selection, fuel requirements, weather analysis, and performance calculations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-flight briefings and ensure crew qualifications meet assigned flight requirements.
  • Coordinate flight activities with dispatch, maintenance, ground support teams, and other appropriate Pilatus departments.
  • Collect, document, and communicate operational flight data to support safety, product development and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure flight operations comply with company policies, Safety Management System (SMS) requirements, FAA regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate flight logs, operating expenses, maintenance documentation, and other required records in accordance with company and FAA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct knowledgeable and professional discussions with prospects and customers.
  • Attend industry trade shows and company meetings as required.
  • Support special projects and other Flight Operations activities as assigned.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Pilatus dealers regarding aircraft capabilities, operational concerns and product improvement.
  • Arrange required accommodations associated with assigned travel.
