About The Position

The Production Painter will be responsible for finishing and painting a product or components of a product through priming, lamination, gluing, sanding, trimming, glazing, and other processes. May perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them, rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Able to stand for 5 hours at a time
Able to occasionally lift 45 lbs
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment needed for the position

Responsibilities

Priming, lamination, gluing, sanding, trimming, glazing, and other finishing processes.
Performing all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotating through them.
Properly mixing catalyzed, water-based paint and industrial coatings.
Inspecting parts prior to painting for proper surface preparation.
Preparing parts for painting by masking and positioning parts.
Painting multiple part types and colors during a normal shift.
Working to a high-quality standard.
Safely operating and maintaining spray and mixing equipment.
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment including spray booths.
Notifying management and purchasing of inventory shortages.
Preparing parts for painting by sanding and sandblasting and filling with epoxy and polyester fillers.
Using air grinding and sanding tools.
