About The Position

We currently have an opportunity for a Production Packer 1 to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility in Huntersville, NC. This role operates on a NIGHT SHIFT with 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule, working approximately 13 days out of the month, which includes two 3-day weekends off per month. The specific injection molding shifts are 6:15pm – 6:30am. Shift swapping is possible with prior approval and one week's notice. As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will support the operation team by safely feeding material into machines, inspecting product for defects, and packing finished goods in the correct configuration. You will have the opportunity to make great things happen by ensuring compliance with GMPs, safety, and quality procedures, while maintaining productivity standards. You will efficiently maintain the operation of machinery by monitoring codes and dates, make minor adjustments/repairs as necessary using appropriate tools, and perform quality checks. Additionally, you will check controls on equipment such as vacuums, heat, pressures, timing, and water flow, maintain various records, check raw materials inventory, and communicate effectively with the oncoming shift. You will play a very important role on our manufacturing team and help create an efficient manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
  • 1-2 years as a Packaging Machine Operator

Responsibilities

  • Feed material into machines
  • Inspect product for defects
  • Pack finished goods in correct configuration
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety, quality procedures and keep productivity standards
  • Efficiently maintain the operation of machinery by monitoring codes and dates
  • Make minor adjustments/repairs as necessary using appropriate bench and hand tools
  • Perform quality checks and makes the necessary adjustments
  • Check controls on equipment such as vacuums, heat, pressures, timing, and water flow
  • Maintain various records such as production reports, data entry, and detailed shift reports
  • Check raw materials inventory and inform warehouse of shortages
  • Communicate effectively with oncoming shift lead/operator regarding all pertinent information
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed by the team leader
