Packers are a key part of the Production team, working on the production line, handling finished products and ensuring the correct types and quantities are packaged according to specifications. The Packers also ensure that the final product sent to our customers meets the high, Quality standards established for all our products.

Requirements

A Great Attitude!

Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Able to work in a hot, humid and noisy environment.

Responsibilities

Pack and/or tape boxes at the assigned position
Utilize correct boxes, bags, tape, count/stack height
Ensure accurate quantities with products and box counts
Maintain tight control of all materials and keep all forms of waste to a minimum
Every Packer is responsible for the quality of the products they pack
Maintain personal and working sanitation standards as per established procedures/practices e.g. no makeup or jewelry
Ensure the working area is kept clean, orderly and safe
Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety Standards
Conduct all work in a safe manner — think “Safety First”!
Wear prescribed PPE when performing all jobs.
Be aware of hazards associated with each task.
Communicate and report to the Supervisor any hazard, potential hazard or unsafe work practices.
