About The Position

The Production Packaging Lead Associate role applies intensive and diversified knowledge of proper packaging of materials and finished products. This position will also load and move material and operate packaging equipment. The Production Packaging Associate III role will also be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices. In addition to Production Packaging Associate, I and II responsibilities, the Production Packaging Associate III role will include: Ability to relieve the bagger and the palletizer operator. Operate and understand robot and complete changeovers (if applicable) Able to help with quality when there are needs from the quality department. Stand in for quality during the DMR if the quality lead is not available. Demonstrates Co-Ownership in Plant Safety, Quality and Morale results by actively participating in Safety Committees, Pre-Shift Safety Meetings, FPY Improvement Teams, etc. Designated as the Floater or lead packer on their shift, able to help with all lines and mentor new employees on safety and temp utility packers on assignments, safety, and quality. Break reliever is able to assist and coordinate lunch breaks and breaks for employees in all lines. Other duties as assigned by management. Duties my differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

  • Advanced mathematical skills.
  • Advanced computer experience.
  • Three plus years of equivalent experience, including training/facilitating.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PPA Skills Level I and II.
  • Completion and demonstrated proficiency in PPA Skills Lead training.
  • Certified facilitator.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate Lead training.

Responsibilities

  • Relieve the bagger and the palletizer operator.

  • Act as a quality representative during DMR if the quality lead is unavailable.
  • Participate in safety committees, pre-shift safety meetings, and FPY improvement teams.
  • Serve as the designated Floater or lead packer, assisting all lines and mentoring new employees.
  • Coordinate lunch and break times for employees across all lines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
