About The Position

The Production Optimization Engineer will assist with monitoring production operations within Delkor’s business systems to help support efficiency, quality, and on‑time delivery. This role involves working collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, project management, and scheduling teams to support daily production activities and improvement efforts, fostering a strong sense of teamwork. The engineer will participate in identifying process improvement opportunities and assist with implementing changes that improve efficiency and productivity. Key responsibilities also include assisting with labor and resource analysis for production capacity planning, gathering and organizing data for resource needs, and maintaining quality standards through documentation and test plans. The position requires collecting and preparing production performance data and reports, supporting production teams in meeting delivery timelines and product quality, and helping identify and escalate potential production risks. The engineer will also participate in customer interactions during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to understand customer expectations and support product transition, and assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production efficiency and effectiveness. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, co‑ops, or early‑career roles in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Foundational understanding of assembly and testing processes gained through coursework, internships, co‑ops, or prior professional experience.
  • Exposure to, or experience working in, a production or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems using an ERP system and production management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in managing projects from inception to completion using a cross-functional team and resources.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes improvement methodologies and a commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environment while still managing change and drive organizational improvements.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to address production related customer issues.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively while handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively (verbally and non-verbally) to individuals and groups, internally and externally, to exchange ideas and convey detailed information accurately.

  • Collect, organize, and help prepare production performance data and reports to support visibility into operational performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Support production teams in meeting delivery timelines and product quality expectations that contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
  • Help identify potential production risks or issues and escalate findings to the Production Optimization Manager or appropriate stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer interactions during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to observe, learn customer expectations, and support the transition from Delkor’s production site to the customer site.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to help assess production efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
