About The Position
We are seeking Production Operators to join our team at our newly opened Manufacturing Facility. This role involves precise measurement and mixing of ingredients, safe and efficient operation of machinery, championing food safety and quality, and managing materials using an ERP system. You will also collaborate with team members and uphold company values. The facility is a clean, organized, and pleasant-smelling food manufacturing environment. This position offers consistent hours due to high product demand and opportunities for growth within the company, including potential for promotion from within.
Requirements
- Ability to work in both cold and warm environments.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with or ability to perform minor equipment changeovers.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for material handling and HMI for ingredient delivery.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to company values (Respect, Integrity, etc.).
- Ability to complete batching and traceability paperwork accurately.
- Own or be willing to acquire steel toe boots.
- Ability to read, speak and write English.
- Educated to GCSE level.
- Mechanical training or background is a must.
Nice To Haves
- Experience leading / coordinating a small team of associates - again desirable.
- Experience in FMCG / High speed production – desirable.
Responsibilities
- Measure and Mix ingredients with precision, ensuring every batch meets high standards.
- Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment, including basic machine operation, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Maintain food safety and quality by following strict guidelines and practices.
- Utilize an ERP system for material handling, including refilling bulk containers, completing batching paperwork, and supporting bulk bag bailing.
- Collaborate with team members and uphold company values such as respect, integrity, and teamwork.
- Work with and sanitize heavy machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
- Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
- Be accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
- Assist operators with daily production tasks to ensure line targets are met.
