Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
  • Up to 90 days training required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • One (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and has primary responsibility for various types of welding center operations in multiple work centers as required, including MIG, spot (resistance), robotic, silicon bronze (MIG), and manual welders.
  • Produces quality parts per the Challenge Manufacturing Quality Standards, production schedule and engineering specifications at the prescribed cycle time (rate).
  • Supports the CNC Machine operation and deburring axels.
  • Performs necessary quality checks.
  • Records information in PLEX (Enterprise Resource Planning system - ERP).
  • Performs general utility work to meet work schedule.
