About The Position

This full-time position involves working on the 2nd shift. The role requires adherence to safety and food safety policies, the ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays, and proficiency in reading and understanding recipes. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting process issues, using digital scales, mixing doughs, managing ingredient bins, and maintaining accurate documentation. The operator will also be responsible for cleaning equipment and work areas, observing plant safety and GMP procedures, and ensuring the consistent manufacturing of safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, and SQF requirements. Immediate reporting of food safety and quality issues to a supervisor is mandatory. The role also involves supporting the shift team and following supervisor directives.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a safe manner, follow safety guidelines.
  • Understand and follow Food Safety policies.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules and work in other departments including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to read and understand recipes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot process related issues within the boundaries of the recipe.
  • Ability to use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions.
  • Ability to mix doughs according to recipe. Have a working knowledge of the mixer, using the timer and batch recipe system.
  • Follow FIFO (First in First Out), Mix lot number and documentation accuracy.
  • Clean & Refill ingredient bins and label the bins with the correct lot number.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for entire shift and climb steps and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Monitors and assists with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.
  • Ability to clean mixers, work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions.
  • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor.
  • Follow supervisor’s directives and be able to support the shift team as needed.
