About The Position

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is hiring motivated, safety-oriented Production Operators at its Sweetwater, Texas facilities. Operators run production equipment to defined operating standards and product specifications, monitor or enter information in computer control systems, and troubleshoot equipment to optimize production. The role includes basic asset care, routine preventive maintenance, and cleaning the work area. Operators collaborate with teammates to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals, and may operate or work around mobile equipment ranging from forklifts to heavy equipment. The schedule consists of 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Day shifts run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; night shifts run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pay is $27.00 per hour.

Requirements

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, energy, warehouse, or military environment, or completion of post-high-school education in manufacturing, industrial, or a related field.
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts on days and nights, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Prior forklift operating experience.
