About The Position

This role is responsible for effectively operating all freezer/warehouse equipment required to ship products. The operator will handle tasks such as using a palletizer, jam pool, plastic/wood pallets, speed doors, forklift, shrink wrap machine, and operating a robot. They will also manage the inventory system, loading docks, and conveyors. The position requires completing required documentation accurately in a fast-paced environment, making decisions while multi-tasking with little or no supervision, and guiding/training back-up associates to meet deadlines. Problem-solving, clear written communication, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential. The role also involves attending and participating in training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and SQF, applying obtained knowledge, and adhering to all food safety procedures and policies. Maintaining a safe and clean work area, adhering to all safety guidelines, and performing duties as assigned by the supervisor are also key responsibilities. The operator must meet all quality, sanitation, and production standards. The job involves working in extreme temperatures (100 degrees Fahrenheit or -20 degrees Fahrenheit) and requires significant physical exertion.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain certification and operate a forklift.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently.
  • Communicate effectively – read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to perform each essential function satisfactory.
  • Ability to work continually in a warm/hot environment (100 degrees) or cold environment (-20 degrees).
  • Required to lift and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work while standing for periods up to 12 hours.
  • Regularly required to bend, reach, pull, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach.
