About The Position

PPG is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. This role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment. The operator will be responsible for preparing equipment and supplies, safely operating machinery, ensuring equipment is in good working condition, and assisting junior operators. The position also involves evaluating equipment performance, operating industrial vehicles for material transfer, and adhering to safety procedures. Requirements

Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed.
Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.

Responsibilities

Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
Ensure that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition.
Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
Clean the equipment when needed.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production materials between warehouse and working area.
Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
