Production Operator
About The Position
Materion is a company that manufactures advanced engineered materials for various applications including consumer electronics, industrial components, defense, medical, automotive electronics, telecommunications infrastructure, energy, and commercial aerospace. As a Production Operator, the role involves maintaining safe work practices, setting up and operating industrial machinery, accurately entering production data into the SAP software system, operating forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling, and monitoring product quality to ensure proper adjustments are made.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an awareness of safe work practices and prevent conditions that may result in an unsafe situation or harm the environment.
- Set up and operate various industrial machinery.
- Enter production data in SAP software system, ensuring accuracy in time and weight applied.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load and unload material on storage racks while observing the appropriate weight capacities.
- Monitor condition of product passing through machinery and perform proper adjustments to ensure proper product quality.
