About The Position

A-Gas is a global leader in the responsible lifecycle management of specialty chemicals and gases. The production team members are responsible for assisting with overall production requirements for incoming and outgoing products. The production operator will collect and fill the fire protection agents into various bulk tanks and system bottles.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools
• Ability to learn technical chemical processes, gas terminology, cylinder types, and sizes quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• EPA 608 certification required and/or must be obtained within 6 months
• Forklift, overhead crane, and clamp operation experience required or ability to become certified within 60 days
• Functional computer skills required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a process operations environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Transfers compressed gas into finished cylinders
• Operating the cylinder tracking computer system
• Operate and maintain equipment in production facility including, but not limited to, compressors, pumps, filling stations and forklifts.
• Works with cylinders, valves, hoses, overhead hoists, scales, hand tools, and pressure gauges
• Monitors processing equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as setups, calibrations, troubleshooting and product testing
• Inspects and examines cylinders for defects, dents and cracks prior to collecting specialty gases
• Other duties as assigned
