About The Position

This role is responsible for operating machines to ensure the highest quality of production. The Production Operator will review daily manufacturing functions and job orders, obtain necessary materials and tools, and ensure the safe operation of equipment. This position also involves recommending improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, as well as reporting any issues that may affect safety, equipment, tooling, or quality to their supervisor. Maintaining a full working knowledge of all processes and ensuring a clean and organized work environment are also key aspects of this role. The Production Operator is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
Regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
May be required to work with hazardous materials.
May be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames.
Frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.

Nice To Haves

Two plus years of experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.
Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.

Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
