About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Production Operator for the 2nd Shift in Henderson, CO. This role involves applying the compression temperature/pressure method to fill various high-pressure cylinders, including Industrial, Medical, and mixed gases. The operator will collaborate on operating and maintaining equipment for pumping or repackaging gases, conduct pre-fill and post-fill inspections, ensure cylinders are sustainably maintained, and regularly inspect pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices. The position also requires filling cylinders to the proper pressure or weight, maintaining accurate filling records, assisting with loading/unloading trucks, supporting inventory and housekeeping, and assisting customers when necessary.

Requirements

Ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documents.
Must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to perform very heavy work – routinely lifts 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

Fill high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical and Mixes) following compression temperature / pressure method.
Operate and care for equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
Guide and support all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
Ensure cylinders are sustainably maintained – cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.
Regularly inspect and support the upkeep of pumping apparatus and associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices.
Fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight, whichever is appropriate.
Ensure filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers when required.
Support inventory, general housekeeping, and help customers when necessary.
