This role is responsible for understanding and ensuring safety standards are respected, adhering to V5000, TS16949, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and Ohio OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC methodology. The operator will conduct first level of maintenance (PM’s) and first piece inspection at the start of the shift, maintain 5S rules, and ensure cleanliness and safety of each workstation. They will also communicate any supplies shortage to the team lead and participate in APU continuous improvement through participation in VPS workshops.

Requirements

  • Understanding of safety standards (V5000, TS16949, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, Ohio OHSAS18001).
  • Knowledge of QRQC methodology.
  • Understanding of safety working instructions and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to perform first level of maintenance (PM’s).
  • Ability to perform first piece inspection.
  • Adherence to 5S rules.
  • Flexibility and multiskilling capabilities within the APU.
  • Ability to detect problems (deviations from standards) in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ability to stop work and apply reactivity procedures.
  • Involvement in containment actions.
  • Participation in improvements proposal program.
  • Participation in 5 min meetings in APU.
  • Communication skills for reporting supplies shortage.
  • Participation in VPS workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety standards are respected, adhering to V5000, TS16949, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and Ohio OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC methodology.
  • Understand safety working instructions at station and PPE requirements before starting work.
  • Conduct first level of maintenance (PM’s) and first piece inspection at the start of the shift.
  • Maintain 5S rules.
  • Understand flexibility and multiskilling requirements in their APU (Autonomous Production Unit) and check display visual requirements are accurate.
  • Detect problems (deviations from standards) in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Stop work and apply the appropriate reactivity procedure when a problem is detected.
  • Be involved in immediate containment actions.
  • Actively participate in the improvements proposal program.
  • Participate in a 5 min meeting in APU (Autonomous Production Unit).
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of each workstation.
  • Communicate any supplies shortage to the team lead at the beginning, during, and after shifts.
  • Involvement in APU continuous improvement through participation in VPS workshops.
