About The Position

In this role, you will work in the Blending department, supporting the safe and efficient production of high‑quality products that meet Novonesis standards. You will be part of a collaborative production team where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are central to everything we do. This position works under close supervision and plays an important role in ensuring products are manufactured accurately, safely, and on schedule. As a Production Operator, you will contribute directly to daily manufacturing operations by operating equipment, preparing materials, and maintaining production documentation. Your work helps ensure consistent product quality, safe operations, and reliable supply for our customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, including weight and volume conversions using the metric system
  • Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches accurately
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers regarding production status
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use basic hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • ERP system experience (SAP) preferred
  • Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift (preferred)
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous experience in blending, batching, or chemical/food manufacturing
  • Familiarity with GMP environments
  • Interest in continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Willingness to learn new processes and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating, adjusting, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment according to procedures and quality standards
  • Accurately measuring and mixing raw materials by following batch production recipes and formulations
  • Performing minimal and preventative maintenance on equipment when required
  • Assisting other operators in trained areas based on production needs or supervisor direction
  • Printing and applying labels and verifying lot and batch numbers
  • Maintaining accurate production records and equipment logs
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Taking required samples for quality control testing
  • Completing required paperwork and data entry for production and inventory records
  • Troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues or failures
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles
  • Working closely with operators, technicians, and supervisors to meet production deadlines
  • Following all safety protocols and reporting hazards or incidents immediately
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Adhering to all GMP, safety, sanitary, and standardized work procedures
  • Following Powered Air‑Purifying Respirator (PAPR) requirements, maintaining certification, and properly using PPE
  • Adhering to guidelines set forth by religious dietary law certifications, including Kosher and Halal
