About The Position

Brenntag is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. This role involves receiving and preparing incoming and outgoing dry bulk products. The operator will be responsible for ensuring product accuracy, inspecting packaging, obtaining laboratory approval for raw materials, and meeting quality standards before packaging. Key duties include marking, labeling, and filling bags, supersacks, and packages according to standard operating procedures, maintaining inventory of packaging supplies, and performing dry blending duties as needed. The position also requires maintaining good housekeeping, adhering to all company policies and procedures, and attending required training. This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Forklift certification required.
  • Possess knowledge to operate scales, conveyor belts and bagging unit.
  • Must meet PFT requirements to wear a respirator. Cannot have any facial hair that may interfere with a respirator.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and prepares incoming and outgoing dry bulk products.
  • Reviews all paperwork prior to unloading and/or bagging product to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspects all packaging materials inside and out prior to filling.
  • Obtains laboratory approval for all raw materials delivered to the plant prior to packaging product.
  • Ensures that applicable products meet all quality standards and have been approved by the lab prior to packaging.
  • Properly marks, labels, and fills bags, supersacks, and packages in accordance with Brenntag’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintains inventory of packaging supplies.
  • Performs dry blending operator duties as needed.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
  • Observes, follows, and enforces all Brenntag Policies and Procedures.
  • Attends all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
