Production Operator (A Shift 6am-6pm)
About The Position
T1 Energy is a global leader in the solar industry, dedicated to harnessing solar energy for the benefit of mankind through innovation in R&D, manufacturing, and sales of photovoltaic cells and modules. As T1 Energy expands its production capacity, upgrades technology, and enters new markets, we seek passionate individuals to join our team. This role involves driving day-to-day production line operations while ensuring quality and safety standards. The Production Operator will continuously monitor equipment performance and efficiency, communicating any issues to the Line Leader. The position involves 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule: 4 days on (Sunday-Wednesday) followed by 3 days off (Thursday-Saturday), and then 3 days on (Sunday-Tuesday) followed by 4 days off (Wednesday-Saturday).
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, manuals, and instructions
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment to meet production targets and deadlines
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Communicate production information to the Line Leader and fellow Operators
- Performs all duties in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner as instructed by the Line Leader
- Verifies that the correct material is being consumed at the production line according to the Build of Materials
- Identify and record acceptable and defective products
- Assembles, inspects, and cleans solar modules per work instructions
- Operate and conduct continuous monitoring of automated machinery
- Perform continuity testing using a meter
- Connect cables and wires to complete assemblies and installations
- Perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions to ensure product quality
- Clean machines, tools, and equipment
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by leadership.
