The Production Associate (Leach/IWT Operator) is responsible for providing accurate paperwork and record keeping. A successful candidate must have the ability to use measuring and test equipment as required, follow all company rules and policies as well as OSHA/EPA regulations. This position reports to the supervisor, is part of the Fiber Web Department located in Deland, FL and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Remove (leach) the copper coating from wire by submerging it into an acid solution using an overhead industrial crane. Operate and monitor water/wastewater treatment systems while meeting environmental, safety, and quality standards. Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent with 2 years of work experience.
  • Ability to perform accurate record keeping and utilize basic math skills.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers and micrometers) and test equipment.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in working with Hazardous Chemicals.
  • Previous experience in working with environmental regulations.
  • Previous experience in working with steel microfibers in a heavy manufacturing environment.
