About The Position

PPG is hiring a Production Operator in Oak Creek. The role involves setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment used for machining, processing, assembly, or packaging. The position is on the second shift, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and pays $25.14 per hour plus a shift differential. Employees may be asked to work any job and overtime as needed. The role requires consistently lifting up to 50 pounds and being clean-shaven to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and supplies before executing job orders.
• Operate production equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain equipment in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Assist junior operators with their assigned responsibilities.
• Clean equipment when needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer production materials between the warehouse and work area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
