Production Operator (Day Shift)
About The Position
Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) is seeking a Production Operator for its North Region Feed Division feed manufacturing plant in Lewiston, Utah. The role works as part of a team in a warehouse and feed mill manufacturing setting, producing a variety of animal feed products. Team members communicate positively with office staff, coworkers, and managers and represent IFA professionally when interacting with customers, suppliers, and regulatory personnel. The starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with an opportunity to advance to $19.50 or more per hour through certification in various mill processes. A monthly efficiency-based bonus of up to $3.00 per hour is available. Requirements
- Good basic math and computer skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Able to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
- Able to operate mill machinery, forklifts, and loaders.
- Able to repeatedly lift and carry 55-pound bags.
- Able to work in a noisy and dusty environment at times.
- Flexible to work extended hours or overtime when needed.
- Honest, dependable, and hardworking.
Responsibilities
- Follow detailed process instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure product quality and comply with state and federal feed regulations.
- Follow IFA vehicle, equipment, and operating safety policies.
- Manufacture, package, and load bulk and packaged feed products to meet daily production schedules.
- Assist with detailed record keeping for all aspects of plant operations.
- Work under the physical demands of commercial animal feed production, including climbing stairs and ladders, repeatedly lifting 55-pound bags, and working in summer and winter temperatures.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team and treat everyone with respect.
- Maintain positive communication with office staff, coworkers, and managers, and represent IFA positively and professionally in interactions with customers, suppliers, and regulatory personnel.
