About The Position
For over 100 years, Sunset Farm Foods has been a family-owned name in quality food production, and we're looking for hardworking, hands-on people to join our production team. As a Production Operator, you'll rotate through key roles on our 2nd shift team, learning the ins and outs of food production from start to finish.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- A team player who's willing to learn different roles and rotate as needed
- Comfortable with basic computer use (we'll teach you our systems)
- Good attention to detail and record-keeping
- Ability to read and follow procedure sheets, labels, and safety materials
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, balance, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Food industry experience a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Hanger – Inspect product for defects and move it from the stuffing line to trees/racks
- Stuffer – Set correct sausage lengths and inspect for quality
- Takedown – Inspect and verify product for packaging
- Packer – Place product into formed pockets while checking for defects
