About The Position

This role is for a Production Operator on the 1st shift, focusing on starting up a manufacturing plant with new equipment. The position involves learning and operating various machinery including laser cutting, laser welding, powder coating, and assembly operations. The operator will utilize hands-on production skills to minimize downtime and ensure reliable production across multiple departments. The company is looking for motivated and experienced individuals interested in cross-training. The production schedule operates on a 4-10s shift plan, allowing for 3-day weekends. Kaidi LLC is a Smart Office division of Kaidi Electrical, producing inline actuators and understructure assemblies for height-adjustable desks. The Grand Haven, MI facility is new, and employees will be instrumental in shaping the company's direction from the early stages. Requirements

2+ years of hands-on production experience in a metal manufacturing environment
Familiarity with any of the following: laser cutting, forming, welding, powder coating and assembly processes
Ability to read and follow work instructions
Strong communication and teamwork skills
High school diploma or GED required
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a production environment
Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels

Nice To Haves

Steel furniture manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operate equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, welders, a state-of-the-art powder coat line, conveyors, and mechanical assembly stations
Ensure high-quality production is achieved to enhance customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company standards
Work closely with production leads to meet production schedules with minimal disruption
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement on the shop floor
Other duties as assigned
