1st Shift Production Operator

Nesco Resource•Greer, SC
•Onsite

About The Position

The Production Operator works on-site or just-in-sequence near the Greer/Greenville plant, assembling, inspecting, and sequencing panoramic sunroof and roof modules before delivery to a vehicle assembly line. The work is fast-paced and tied directly to the plant’s build schedule. The position is described as first shift, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with mandatory weekend overtime. The role includes assembling mechanical and electrical subassemblies, applying seals and primers, and routing wiring. Operators test and align completed modules, inspect them for quality, and load them into sequence racks or delivery carts to match the assembly-line schedule. The job requires following Standard Process Instructions, maintaining 5S workplace organization, and adhering to automotive defect-escalation protocols. The position involves standing for 8- to 12-hour shifts, repetitive lifting—often 30–50 pounds with assistance from overhead lifters or manipulators—and high-reach handling.
