The plant produces Timberline residential roofing shingles and has called Michigan City home for over 20 years. The Production Operator will ensure the production of high quality residential roofing materials through accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of manufacturing processes to include machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping, and forklift operation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing concepts and safety practices and procedures is preferred but not required
  • A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and a willingness to contribute to a continuous improvement environment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and forklifts, and production and/or shipment of quality products.
  • Record and document all required data on the computer and/or in written form
  • Follow all safety, operational, maintenance, and housekeeping policies and procedures for the plant and your assigned department.
  • Complete product testing and inspections in accordance with product and quality specifications and alert supervisor to variations in the production process at all times.
  • Perform other duties related to plant operations as assigned.
