This position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements. The role involves operating production lines, ensuring product adheres to Niagara’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput. It requires accurate completion of quality and production reports, physical and visual inspection of product, and reporting of quality defects. The operator must adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, as well as Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards. Maintaining general housekeeping in production areas and ensuring an appropriate level of raw materials to minimize downtime are also key responsibilities. The role requires the aptitude to work in all assigned areas of production, troubleshoot minor production line issues, and perform relief duties. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, as is the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule as dictated by production demand.
