Hours: Monday – Friday / 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am) / Occasional OT As a Production Operator you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned machines/equipment produce product at or above department standards. Responsible to produce, assemble, inspect and pack all parts as per the work instructions for each assigned task or machine. Maintain all required paperwork and documentation to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485:2016 standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members.
  • Attention to detail and quality procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Injection molding background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines while maintaining productivity, efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform visual inspection and testing to ensure all products meet quality standards.
  • Reporting data collection and coordinating with mold techs or maintenance for machine errors.
  • Separate parts from runners by visually examining for: flow lines, long gates, shorts, splaying, flash, etc. Trim and clip excess plastic from parts as needed.
  • Uses visual inspection and automated equipment to check conformance to customer requirements.
  • Drive the continuous flow of product from the injection molding machines to all other work areas.
  • Document hourly and daily production numbers to supervisor using good documentation practices.
  • Package parts in bags, totes or boxes as applicable.
  • Provide breaks as required by lead or supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
