About The Position

This role is responsible for the overall maintenance of a production line, including starting and stopping of equipment such as palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, and drop packers. The position requires accurate completion and updating of various reports, understanding and following plant safety rules, maintaining general housekeeping, ensuring adequate raw materials, and upholding quality requirements. The operator will also perform relief duties and troubleshoot minor production line issues. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule is required. Requirements

  • 0-2 year(s) – Manufacturing experience (experience may include a combination of work experience and education).
  • High School Diploma
  • Full Professional Proficiency, English

Responsibilities

  • Operating, monitoring, and maintaining the production line.
  • Starting and stopping equipment (palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, drop packers).
  • Accurately completing and updating information forms and logs (Machine Report, Quality Report, Downtime Report, Carton Top Load Report).
  • Understanding and following plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
  • Using Personal Protective Equipment where required.
  • Maintaining general housekeeping in all areas of production, including break rooms and restrooms.
  • Baling plastic, cardboard, and contaminated bottles when needed.
  • Grinding bottles when needed.
  • Ensuring adequate amounts of raw materials (bottle caps, labels, cartons, trays, tray and pallet wraps, pallet glue) for continuous operation.
  • Maintaining quality requirements in accordance with company standards.
  • Accurately filling out hourly inspection sheets based on overall production quality.
  • Reporting all quality defects.
  • Working in all assigned areas of production.
  • Performing relief duties when required.
  • Stacking, tying, and labeling unused cartons.
  • Troubleshooting minor production line issues.
