About The Position

The Production Operator – Wheel Assembly Technician is responsible to effectively operate the tire changer, as well as any secondary equipment to which they are assigned, safely and efficiently. They must use any required equipment, tooling, and measuring devices to ensure a quality product is produced. They must demonstrate the ability to take directions from the immediate manager and designated management representatives.

Requirements

• A reasonable level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail is needed to properly install the runflats, in the correct sequence, using the designated tools and fixturing, without creating any quality defects.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with a tire changer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install runflats in properly without damage to the wheel and tire, and without leaving any unnecessary components or tools inside the assembly.
• Follow proper start up and shut down procedures when using tire install machines.
• Alert immediate manager of any issues with tire install machines and assist with cleaning and maintenance of the equipment when safe and appropriate.
• Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
• Participate in developing and updating risk assessments and review all applicable risk assessments annually.
