About The Position

Radius Aerospace– Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets. This role plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. The operator will read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. They will lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates. The operator will set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. They will shape metal material over anvil, block, or other form and inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. This role may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Hand/air tool experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Orders, prepares, and inspects titanium hot form dies and tools for titanium parts production.
  • Receives, cleans, inspects, treats titanium parts for hot form/SPF procedures up to of 1750 deg F.
  • Sets up, calibrates and operates a variety of machines such as Hot Form/SPF Presses, ovens, Hydro presses and Brake Presses to manufacture titanium parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of forming titanium products.
  • Plans, lays out, forms, and repairs titanium parts and products.
  • Controls operation of production machines in accordance with establishes procedures and guidelines for the process of manufacturing titanium sheet metal products.
  • Adjusts machine setting to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Works in extreme temperatures and handling hot parts in and around machines.
  • Monitors and verifies part(s) quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures while still hot using a variety of check fixtures and tools.
  • Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Must be shift-flexible.
  • Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
