As our new CNC Technician , you will be operating and maintaining CNC nesting machines to produce high-quality plastic components, while actively contributing to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative production environment. What you will be doing: As a key part of the Production Manufacturing team, you'll create impact by driving manufacturing excellence by producing precision components that meet rigorous quality standards and support Grundfos's mission to deliver reliable water technology solutions worldwide.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma with 1-2 years of CNC machining experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CNC programs, and work instructions
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work in a factory environment with technical skills and ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in CNC operation from a community college, technical school, or trade program
  • Experience with preventative maintenance tasks and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC nesting machines to cut plastic components according to engineering drawings and production schedules, ensuring all output meets quality standards
  • Read, interpret, and recommend adjustments to engineering drawings, CNC programs, control instructions, and work instructions to optimize production
  • Perform set-up of area-specific equipment including safety checks, material loading, machine operation, and proper use and documentation of measurement equipment
  • Support safety programs and maintain 5S standards, reporting near misses and accidents promptly while ensuring a clean and orderly work area
  • Test and inspect components using measuring tools and testing equipment, accurately inputting data and continuously ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Demonstrate willingness to train and coach fellow team members while actively participating in continuous improvement workshops and proposing process improvements
