This is a hands-on, physically demanding manufacturing position working 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule. Employees are hired specifically for either Day Shift or Night Shift. Night-shift employees receive an additional $1.50/hour shift differential. A 2-2-3 schedule means you work approximately half the days of the year while working 12-hour shifts on your scheduled workdays. The Bagger Operator works as part of the production team at our Conover, NC manufacturing facility and reports to the Production Supervisor. Our facility manufactures erosion-control products using processed wood fiber. Bagger Operators rotate between several production responsibilities throughout their shift rather than remaining at one workstation. Depending on production needs, employees may operate bagging equipment, inspect finished products, remove defective bags, prepare material for reprocessing, perform housekeeping and material cleanup, manually stack 50-lb. bags, and operate a forklift after completing company training and certification.
