We are looking for you! The Production Operator II duties include loading and sorting cylinders, performing cylinder inspections, and filling both cryogenic and high pressure compressed gases. This associate will also perform the duties of an Inside Sales associate. Performs various duties in the plant including monitoring equipment to fill cryogenic liquids and pure industrial gasses as well as performing level 1 duties. All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in established policies and procedures. Adhere to and assure compliance with the Code of Conduct/Handbook, policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards promulgated by Federal, State and other applicable agencies or regulating bodies. Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting customers with will call, counter and telephone sales. Analyze and efficiently advance customer orders in a timely manner. Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate products and services. Enter sales data, quotes or other relevant information into inventory control system. Assist manager in ordering appropriate merchandise to ensure stock remains at an acceptable level. Restock store merchandise and maintain current pricing on all store displays and products. Help nurture and grow existing customer base with all product lines. Ensure customer inquiries related to accounts receivable billing issues, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc. are supportively handled. Adhere to all Airgas safety rules and regulations by actively collaborating in identifying any safety and/or health hazards while in the workplace. Pull orders from warehouse as necessary. Provide support to internal and external customers to maintain inventory and delivery needs. Identify potential problems with cylinders and notify management in a timely manner. Collect, record transactions and submit all customer payments promptly to manager. Ideally bring experience or eagerness to learn to fill high pressure and industrial gases, flammable, non-flammable, pure and cryogenic gases. Complete daily fill logs, inventory logs and tracking records accurately and timely. Complete and attach warning and other identification tags, labels and decals on cylinder. Regularly inspect pumping and cylinder monitoring equipment. Perform minor maintenance and inspection of cylinders and filling equipment as needed. Ensure proper and full time use of PPE. Brings collaborative leadership within the Airgas culture – putting safety first. Safely operate forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist, etc. to load/unload compressed and liquid industrial gas cylinders to and from delivery trucks to filling and storage areas. May load cylinders onto vehicles manually or with the aid of material handling equipment. Transfer plant cylinders to different areas within the facility using a forklift. Identify and sort cylinders for efficient refilling and handling. Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor. Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of industrial gases, welding supply and hardware desired
  • Minimum of 6 months Level I experience and training
  • Minimum two (2) years inside sales experience or customer service experience
  • Minimum of two (2) filling experience of High Pressure and Liquid Gases
  • Experience operating a forklift is preferred
