About The Position

This role involves operating equipment to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods. The operator will maintain inventory records of raw materials and in-process materials, perform in-process tests to ensure production meets specifications, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and product deficiencies to maintain optimum production levels. The position requires following blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics, and maintaining running accounts of orders, work completed, and inventory. The operator will also match workload, manning, and equipment capacity to existing inventory and prepare master schedules by coordinating with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel. Requisitions for materials will be made after determining delivery dates.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant on-the-job or vocational training and/or relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform in-process tests such as hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content.
  • Ability to recognize equipment malfunctions and/or product deficiencies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot errors to achieve continuing optimum production levels.
  • Ability to follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics.
  • Ability to maintain running accounts of orders received, work completed, and inventory.
  • Ability to match workload, manning, and equipment capacity to existing inventory.
  • Ability to prepare and monitor master schedules by working with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel to coordinate activities.
  • Ability to requisition materials after determining delivery dates.
