About The Position

This role operates equipment used to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods. The operator will maintain inventory records of raw materials and materials in process, perform in-process tests to ensure production meets specifications, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and product deficiencies to maintain optimum production levels. This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English. The work schedule is 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM), with initial training on 1st shift for a few weeks. An interview and resume are required.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • 1+ years of relevant on-the-job or vocational training and/or relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to perform in-process tests such as hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content.

Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment used to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods.
  • Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in manufacturing and keeps accurate and up-to-date records and/or data sheets on materials in process.
  • Performs in-process tests to ensure production meets required specifications.
  • Recognizes equipment malfunctions and/or product deficiencies, and troubleshoots errors to achieve continuing optimum production levels.
  • Follows blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics.
  • Maintains running accounts of orders received, work completed, and inventory.
  • Matches workload, manning, and equipment capacity to existing inventory.
  • Prepares and monitors master schedules by working with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel to coordinate activities.
  • Requisitions materials after determining delivery dates.
