About The Position

Responsible for performing processes relating to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate production software systems.
  • Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Ability to assess product quality deficiencies and report issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and identify operational issues.
  • Must exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical work for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to periodically lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating production machinery and performing basic troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple basic production machines and/or semi-automated production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; make machine adjustments, perform basic troubleshooting, and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Inspect parts and finished products to determine if they meet quality and customer specifications; take appropriate action concerning parts that do not meet standards.
  • Perform quality control checks and package products according to established procedures.
  • Transfer parts and production information using computer software and maintain accurate production records.
  • Load, unload, stack, and move materials and finished goods as required.
  • Lift materials and products periodically, up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain consistent walking and standing throughout the shift while supporting production activities.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, machines, tools, and equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Train incoming operators on processes, procedures, and established work instructions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times in designated areas.
