The Production Operator I is responsible for ensuring customers receive a consistent, quality product by accurately inspecting and packing products. This role involves visual and dimensional sampling to determine product acceptability, labeling, and quantity tracking. The operator will communicate any issues to the process technician or supervisor, operate equipment as required, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adherence to plant Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines, including GMP, is essential. For SQF Certified Sites, additional responsibilities include understanding cGMPs, Good Hygiene Personnel Practices, performing basic sanitation, and notifying relevant personnel of any repairs, adjustments, food safety, or quality issues. This role requires the ability to initiate action to prevent non-conformities and control non-conforming product until corrected, while also following all Food Fraud/Food Defense Policies.
