About The Position

The Ashtabula HNU Operations role supports safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing by operating and maintaining production processes within established standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational reliability through equipment monitoring, data collection, and adherence to procedures. Operators contribute to continuous improvement by proactively identifying issues, supporting process changes, and promoting a strong safety culture. The role requires hands‑on execution, attention to detail, and collaboration within production teams.

Requirements

0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial operations environment
Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50–75 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods
Ability to follow written procedures, batch sheets, and safety requirements with consistency and accuracy

Nice To Haves

Experience operating process or chemical manufacturing equipment
Forklift or pallet jack operating experience or certification
Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment cleaning, teardown, or troubleshooting
Experience working 12‑hour shifts or rotating schedules in a production environment

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and maintain assigned production equipment in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements
Adjust operating conditions within defined limits to meet performance, quality, and throughput standards
Collect, document, and verify process data, samples, and observations as required by operating instructions
Identify, report, and escalate equipment, process, safety, or environmental issues in a timely manner
Perform general production and area support tasks, including equipment cleaning, material handling, and team participation
