The Production Operator I is responsible for ensuring customers receive a consistent, quality product by accurately inspecting and packing product. This role involves performing visual and dimensional sampling to determine product acceptability, labeling ware, tracking quantities, and communicating any issues to the process technician or supervisor. The operator will also be responsible for operating equipment as required, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering to all plant Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines and GMPs. For SQF Certified Sites, additional responsibilities include understanding cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices, notifying relevant personnel of required repairs or adjustments, performing basic sanitation functions, and meeting company and regulatory standards. This includes identifying and initiating action on any Food Safety or Quality issues, controlling nonconforming product, and adhering to all company policies, including GMPs, safety policies, HACCP, and SQF. The role also requires adherence to safety policies, maintaining a clean and safe work area, reporting unsafe conditions, and wearing company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE).
