Production Operator I
About The Position
Perform pyrolite casting operations according to approved work instructions, routings, and specifications. Prepare molds, tooling, and materials for casting operations, ensuring proper setup and cleanliness. Measure, mix, pour, and handle casting materials in accordance with process parameters. Monitor casting and curing processes to ensure quality and consistency. Remove cast parts from molds and perform initial inspection for defects. Conduct secondary processing as required (trimming, finishing, cleaning). Accurately complete production documentation, travelers, and quality records. Perform in-process checks and report nonconformances or abnormalities to supervision. Follow all safety procedures regarding high-temperature materials, chemicals, and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards. Support cross-training and assist in other production areas as needed to meet production demand.
Requirements
- Ability to follow approved work instructions, routings, and specifications
- Proficiency in preparing molds, tooling, and materials
- Skill in measuring, mixing, pouring, and handling casting materials
- Ability to monitor casting and curing processes
- Capability to remove cast parts and perform initial inspections
- Experience with secondary processing (trimming, finishing, cleaning)
- Accuracy in completing production documentation, travelers, and quality records
- Ability to perform in-process checks and report nonconformances
- Knowledge of safety procedures for high-temperature materials, chemicals, and equipment
- Understanding of 5S and safety standards for work area organization
- Willingness to support cross-training and assist in other production areas
