About The Position
Knape & Vogt is looking for a Production Operator I to join their industry leading team in Grand Rapids. This role is on the 1st shift (7:00am-3:00pm) and offers a pay rate of $19.00/hr. Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company has been based in Grand Rapids for over 125 years and is a global leader specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of functional hardware, office and healthcare ergonomics and storage-related components.
Requirements
- No previous manufacturing experience is required
- Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English
- Ability to efficiently work in a high fast paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. while standing for long periods of time
Responsibilities
- Load, unload and hand parts into the machine
- Troubleshooting by reading blueprints on a computer monitor
- Conduct changeovers and setups
- Perform all quality functions and checks
- Follow all safety procedures and quality functions
- Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements
- Inspect parts and machinery for errors
