About The Position

Edgewell is a global team of over 6,000 visionaries, doers and makers. Our portfolio of over 25 brands touches lives in more than 50 countries by making useful things joyful. This role supports a two-year project and is intended to end upon completion of the planned relocation of the plant. The purpose of this position is to operate blade grinding equipment to produce high quality razor blades.

Requirements

Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gages.
Must be able to correctly calculate basic mathematics equations (addition, subtraction, division, percentages).
2 years prior manufacturing experience.
High speed machine/equipment operation.
Demonstrates problem solving & trouble shooting skills.
Basic knowledge of blue print reading.
Demonstrates quality awareness & attention to detail.
Good Interpersonal Skills.
Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent mechanical skills, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

Examples: CNC Operator, Press Operator, Machine Operator, Molding Technician, or Maintenance background and/or related technical certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate blade grinding machines in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls.
Maintain specifications by observing quality standards and utilizing precision measurement equipment.
Resolve production problems to meet specifications and troubleshoot equipment; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Keep machines and work area clean.
Document actions by completing production and quality records.
